When we looked closer, we decided that we couldn't do it cost-effectively without producing hardware and let the idea rest.
In 2008, we seized an opportunity to revive this idea. OnePhone, a joint venture of the Dutch incumbent KPN and Spring Mobile, a Swedish company specialized in virtual PBX services, issued ECT a tender for a new next-generation solution to provide virtual PBX services in the network, replacing all the PBX equipment on site in offices. In 2009, OnePhone launched their virtual PBX service using our solution. This service is revolutionizing business communications, giving business men and women a full range of PBX features configurable via the Internet and just one mobile terminal for all their communications. We are looking forward to expanding this great new service and making our contribution to fixed and mobile convergence.
